HBO Comedy Special ‘Ferrell Takes the Field” to Screen Saturday, September 5 at Petco Park in San Diego

August 3, 2015 — In a first for HBO, the comedy special FERRELL TAKES THE FIELD will have a major league ballpark premiere Saturday, Sept. 5 at Petco Park in San Diego, immediately following the game between the host San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers. As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance at that night’s game will have the opportunity to stay and watch the screening. Will Ferrell will be on hand to introduce the HBO special, and there will be activities for fans attending the game. The Dodgers-Padres game is scheduled to begin at 5:40 p.m. PDT.

One of them was just posted on the IOC’s YouTube channel this past Wednesday (July 22). It’s the official film of the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne, Australia.

Cannes Classics Line-up Revealed

April 29, 2015 – Marking 100 years since the birth of Orson Welles, Cannes will screen restorations of films from the legendary US actor, director, writer and producer, who died in 1985. The titles include his staggering debut CITIZEN CANE (1941), which has received a 4k restoration completed at Warner Brothers Motion Picture Imagery by colorist Janet Wilson, with supervision by Ned Price. The image was reconstructed from three nitrate fine grain master positives as the original camera negative no longer survives.

FilmLight – Meet The Colourist – Maxine Gervais

Jan 15, 2015 Maxine Gervais has been a lead colourist at MPI since 2009, working on many top movies since then. She is a talented artist with keen technical skills and is able to capture the sensibilities of the filmmakers with whom she works. She is a great advocate of using Baselight – whether on-set for early collaboration with cinematographers or in MPI’s grading suite – to perfect the look of each production.
